Courses are predominately print-based and examinations must be submitted to the school. The Institute awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for all courses successfully completed. The CEU is a nationally recognized unit of measurement award by many colleges and other training organizations for participation in qualified continuing education.
Several states require continuing education for HVACR license renewals. Presently, the Institute's courses are approved by the Ohio Construction Industry Examining Board to meet HVAC continuing education requirements in Ohio. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, more than 50 million working adults are pursuing continuing education today.
